Been hearing news of unscrupulous Ebay dealers selling fake USB flash drives. In the US, the drives are already pretty cheap. I just picked up a 512mb for $15 and a 1 gb for under $35.
Take a look at the Digg story for more details and also another story on the Australian Ebay reviews site for some tips on how to spot a counterfeit drive.
Beware of Fake USB Flash Drives on eBay
Yeah! Already ben burnt by those sellers based in Hong kong and China central. Some of them are will ing to reverse the transaction though(if you claim through paypal its safer).Yet others are still living in a make belief world denying complicity about it. Check out the following site (www.toolhaus.org) where you can enter a sellers name and it gives you a complete list of ALL the negative feedback of the seller. Here’s a list of sellers with fake sized drives in stock :
digimp4 misumoshi i.celectronics hargaretchimee ztshop sarahsilver1003 bluetooth.depot topgps313
We need to police and make it difficult for scams and fraud to succeed on ebay.Just my two cents worth.I hope it saves another potential victim.
